After your Subaru dealer tests the condition of your battery, there are 5 possible results:

  1. Good Battery: Your battery is measuring within the manufacturer's specification for required CCA (Cold Cranking Amps).  Your battery should reliably start the vehicle.
  2. Good - Recharge: The battery tester has determined that your batter is in good condition, but the voltage or charge level is low. The battery should be charged.
  3. Use GR1: The battery tester is unable to complete an accurate test because the battery voltage is low. The battery will need to be charged prior to a retest. Your Subaru Dealer, Subaru of South Hills, has the GR1 charger to recharge your battery.
  4. Replace Battery: While the vehicle may have started today, soon (particularly under extreme weather conditions) there is the increasing likelihood of vehicle malfunction due to battery failure. We highly recommend replacing your battery.
  5. Bad Cell - Replace Battery: A cell within the battery has degraded. Battery needs to be replaced by our experts.
